The North York Moors National Park Authority has an exciting opportunity for a Tourism Apprentice to join our team.
This two year role will allow experience to be gained at our Sutton Bank National Park Centre by providing front line and visitor facing tasks, where the successful candidate will be engaged in every aspect of delivering information and retail services to the visiting public.
The apprentice will also get the chance to widen their skills by spending time at our Helmsley offices working on a range of projects aimed at raising the profile of the North York Moors National Park.
This apprenticeship is ideal for those that want the chance to learn new skills on-the-job as well as studying for Level 2 and 3 qualifications.
The tourism apprentice will be paid a training allowance of £115 a week when they start, which will increase after their first year and they will also be given time to work on their qualifications.
Our current Tourism Apprentice, Faye Addy, is just leaving the authority having obtained a permanent role in the police force, she said:
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Sutton Bank National Park Centre, the vast amount of opportunities I have been given have prepared me for my dream career. It has been a great experience to work with such a wonderful team’.
